It’s a time for self-reflection and evaluation of the past business year.
\nProbably several of us compare good and bad trades, and adjust our business plans.
\nMost of us, after after evaluating our self-reflection<\/a><\/span> makes new promises to follow their new, modified trading plan. Your success and happiness depend on adhering to these revisions in your life and trading, so put some effort into making a list of things you want to improve and accomplish in the coming new year. <\/p>\n

Here are a few topics that the HGM Academy will focus on:<\/p>\n

“<\/strong>I got out of a profitable trade<\/strong>too<\/strong>soon”
\n<\/strong>Here you have to remember that higher TF takes precedence. Let’s not limit ourselves to small gains if we are going in the direction of a long term trend. Forget trading, and don’t watch the screen all day. I suggest you look at your trades once a day, just to see if any major changes have formed that are inconsistent with your trade.\/first opposite HA candle below\/above the HGM river on 1D\/. Of course the physical implementation is challenging because our natural tendency is to check the charts more often during the day. Unfortunately, there really is no way \/to have “certainty”\/ when to exit a trade.
\nWhen in doubt, remember, you don’t need a lot of winning trades to have a very nice percentage gain in your account for the year. At HGM, we believe that less is more, and <\/strong>this is our first challenge for the next trading period. One-way trading to stick around longer. <\/p>\n

“I missed the signal, now what?”
\n<\/strong>Many times it happens that you have the perfect signal according to your trading plan, but you still don’t enter the trade. There can be several reasons. If it doesn’t happen often, it’s okay, but if it’s regular, it’s frustrating and a sign of low confidence.
\n<\/strong>Becoming a confident trader who doesn’t hesitate when they see their trading advantage is something that takes education and experience as well as time. To feel confident in your decisions, you must first know what you want, what you are doing, what your trading strategy is and have a trading plan. If you don’t know definitively what your business advantage is, you can’t build confidence.
\nPractice will make you perfect, and patience will ensure profits. <\/strong>Self-confidence is most often lost when you change strategies frequently, and we wrote about that in this article <\/a><\/span> <\/p>\n

Of course many of us have many more topics we need to work on, such as
\n– frequent trading
\n– risking too much, greed
\n– I missed the target and it backfired
