The one who says he has the truth does not have it. He has the truth who can defend it. Truth based on personal experience is harder to prove, because different people react differently to the same situation according to their level of consciousness. For example, people in our culture mourn the dead. In some cultures they celebrate death. Same situation, two different perspectives. Or when someone has a broken leg, they may be sad that they can’t walk. Another may be happy that he doesn’t have to go to work or school. From one point of view, both death and a broken leg are unpleasant, but from another point of view it can be seen as positive. The view of reality is subjective.

We cannot properly imagine something that we do not have personal experience with and that is beyond the scope of our previous knowledge.

As long as we take our opinion as the only true one, we will not move far in life. We must learn to accept information with an open heart and use intelligence in doing so. An intelligent person knows that there is much he does not yet know and will take advice from those more experienced. He may have an opinion on a certain subject, but he can also accept the opinion of others and compare these opinions with a clear mind. Ideally, opinions are confronted with objective reality. But it is sometimes very difficult to find objective reality. People usually look at reality through their ego, which distorts reality very much.

Different people perceive the same situation, the same object differently. Therefore, people’s opinions say nothing about the actual reality. The actual reality is independent of people’s opinions. Whether someone thinks this or that doesn’t make it really so. To think is not to know.

Even analysts who should be trying to know like to use words like “We estimate”, “We think”, “Approximately” and so on. When someone uses words like that, it just shows that they don’t really know much. Sentences where “I think” and “In my opinion” are used lose credibility.

But as long as people consider their opinion to be very important and to be true, and refuse to listen humbly and attentively to the words of others, they will not learn much, and they will not get very far in life.

If we want to gain real knowledge, we have to realize that our view is very limited and we have to give space to ideas that we do not agree with at the moment.

Listening does not mean blindly accepting someone’s ideas or dogmas. To listen is to try to understand and engage intelligence. Try to realize that your opinion does not shape reality. Try to listen and get a different view of reality. That is how the door to wonderful knowledge will open for you. As long as you consider your opinion to be the only true one, the door to knowledge will remain closed.

But I have mastered the theoretical part well, but it is not easy to implement it in practice.

Almost all people think that their opinion is the only right and true one. This belief comes from a false ego that creates the illusion of who we really are and what reality is. As long as a person is under the domination of the ego, he thinks: “I am right and anything that differs from my view is bullshit. The vast majority of people live under this illusion.

Opinion vs. reality

If I think my opinion is the only correct one, I am living in an illusion. I’m on an ego trip. When I get out from under the ego’s domination, I suddenly see a diversity of opinions on the same thing. Suddenly I will see the colored glasses of the ego that make one person see the same thing as green because he has green glasses, another as blue because he has blue glasses, and so on. Only with colorless glasses can we see reality as it is. Only in the egoless state of consciousness.

State without ego

The egoless state means having no aversion to anything or anyone, being able to look at the opinions of others without judgment, and thus seeing the bigger picture of what reality is. Ego creates resentment and resentment creates conflict. When we have resistance within ourselves, we cannot accept opinions that are different from our own. We feel the need to defend our opinions and to sweep others’ opinions off the table and discredit them because they seem like bullshit to us. However, when we can look at the opinions of others in an ego-free state, we see the larger reality.

Most of us are still ruled by our egos and still cannot accept the (seemingly) different opinions of others without seeing them as stupid. Because we have resentment within us. But occasionally we can get into an ego-free state, get rid of the resistance and understand why people have the opinions they have.

Different degrees of consciousness

People who are at different stages of consciousness have different world views and different opinions. And then they naturally don’t understand each other. Actions reflect what kind of consciousness a living being has.

Even if two people are the same age, they may have different interests and different opinions. One indulges in alcohol and the other can’t even smell alcohol. For the other, sport is a life passion and the other sees almost no point in sport. But in time everything can change, and one’s lifestyle and life values will change due to a change in consciousness. I am experiencing it myself.

People at different levels of consciousness are interested in different things. Someone is interested in sports, another in science, another in spirituality, and another in all kinds of things. People at different levels of consciousness have different opinions about the same thing. When people have similar mindsets, they are at a similar level of consciousness. However, the more different the degree of consciousness, the more people do not understand each other because they perceive reality differently.

What usually happens is that people are unable to see and understand reality from any other perspective than their own limited view. Then conflicts and misunderstandings often arise. People have the feeling: ‘I am right, you are wrong’. This so-called truth exists only at a certain level of consciousness. At another level of consciousness one considers something else to be true. People are always eagerly searching for the truth. They are adamant to have it. Where is the real truth?

Change of consciousness and perception of reality

Consciousness and perception of the world is constantly changing. As long as one is engaged in self-development, one gradually expands consciousness and is able to understand more and more.

Only when we purify our consciousness can we experience an increasingly pure state of being – free from fear, anger, hatred, jealousy, greed, pride and other unpleasant qualities and emotions.

When we purge ourselves of the false ego, we naturally begin to understand that people have this or that view because they are at a certain stage of development, a certain stage of consciousness, and they cannot have a different view because their perception of reality is limited by their present state of consciousness. In order to understand certain things, they have to experience them. There are people who have a very limited perception of the world. They only see this or that aspect, but they don’t see the whole. And when someone describes the whole to them, they often don’t understand it, and they defend only what they see. As long as a person has resistance within him, he cannot understand others and see reality through their eyes. But when we can alleviate or remove that resistance, we expand our consciousness and suddenly see and understand much, much more. We can empathize with others and we can see the world through their eyes. Then we will understand that they are not able to understand certain things.

Conscious vs. unconscious man

Many people act unconsciously based on the subconscious. Few are fully aware of their actions and their consequences. We have certain patterns of behaviour written in our subconscious minds that we act according to. Many people do various unpleasant actions and cultivate negative thoughts and emotions. If they knew what causes negative thoughts and emotions, they would try to change their thinking and feeling. They would try to be more conscious, they would start working on their negative sides and become better people. Unfortunately, in today’s society we observe that only a few individuals are able to realize what they are actually doing, admit their mistakes and then correct themselves.

A conscious person is aware of every single thought, emotion, action and its consequence. A conscious person can work with negative emotions (fear, anger, hatred, jealousy,…), search for their cause and solve it. A conscious person can be aware of how he reacts to different situations, learn from it and rewrite behaviour patterns in the subconscious mind, according to his awareness. A conscious person shies away from conflicts because he has no taste in them. A conscious person has no taste in anything negative. Even if he comes across something negative, he tries to work with it and take a lesson from it. A conscious person can reach a point where there are no negative thoughts or emotions in his mind.

Conscious people are freaks to the ignorant. The ignorant person blames circumstances and other people for his failure. A conscious person tries to look within himself first of all, and looks for the fault in himself. An ignorant person will never admit fault. To admit it, he must first become aware of it. The ignorant man is controlled by the ego, which causes the inability to admit mistakes. An ignorant person is unaware of how he acts and unaware of the consequences of his actions. He acts as he is programmed to do in his unconscious mind. A conscious person tries to be aware of what he is actually doing, and to consider the consequences of his actions. A conscious person is thus able to set the course of his life according to his conscious will. An unconscious person does not choose his behavior and the direction of his life. The autopilot in the form of the unconscious acts for the unconscious man.

The Path of Conscious Life

As we can see, learning to live consciously pays off. Being aware of your thoughts, emotions, actions and their consequences is highly desirable. Seeing your bad points, trying to correct them, and learning from your mistakes is also highly desirable. As long as we live in ignorance, not accepting our mistakes and learning from them, we will repeat them again and again. It is only when one learns that one can then act differently and not repeat the same mistakes. When we take the path of Conscious Living, we change the quality of our life and the lives of others beyond recognition. We can work with ego, anger, fear, pride, greed, hatred and other unpleasant qualities. A conscious person is constantly mindful of the principle: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you“.

A conscious person constantly strives to be a better version of himself. A conscious person can instantly learn from his mistakes and change from one second to the next, from one minute to the next, from one hour to the next, or from one day to the next. A conscious person is not afraid to go into his conscience and realize what he has actually done and how he can react differently, better, to a similar situation. For the conscious person, change is welcome. A conscious person wants to change for the better.

Yes, I know, I have mastered the theory well, but I am also gradually working on it so that you can already feel it in my behaviour towards you.

I’ve written enough about the ego, but I still have more to do so I’m putting another theoretical lesson here for myself.

Control your ego

The suffering we experience on the level of the mind we perceive as suffering only for the sake of the ego. When someone tells us that we have done something wrong, or that they don’t like something about us, the ego creates a disapproval in us that it is not so, that it is not our fault. Because of the ego, we cannot admit our faults and our weaknesses. We don’t accept situations as they are and we have our own idea of how things should be. If something differs from our idea, we are dissatisfied.

Life under the influence of ego is very unpleasant. One lives in a state of resentment and resentment creates negative emotions in a person like sadness , anger, jealousy, hatred and others. Ego creates a feeling that we do not like something.

One can be more or less under the influence of the ego. It depends to what extent he can work with the ego. A great influence of the ego manifests itself in the fact that a person is often sad, feels that he has been wronged, is offended, does not accept when someone tries to explain something to him and so on. The ego creates in a person the feeling that he is flawless and blames others for his feelings and mistakes. He fails to look within himself and see the fault in himself.

Many people are under the domination of ego. But it is possible to learn to control the ego. Once we control the ego, we come out of the state of resistance, into the state of acceptance, and we can accept everything as it is. We will no longer fight and want to forcefully change something or someone. We can admit that we have made a mistake and also admit our other shortcomings. Only when we see and accept our shortcomings can we work to mitigate or even eliminate them. If we defend our shortcomings and blame others, what will we achieve? Isn’t it wiser to learn to work with the ego, accept our shortcomings and change?

If we feel a negative emotion, it is a signal that we are in a state of resistance. Something we don’t like. Then we should go deeper into ourselves and search for the cause. The emotion has been created within us, and the cause will be within us.

Everything that happens to us is for our highest good, for our edification. If we take it that way, we can raise our consciousness to a level where we no longer experience suffering, but take all life situations as lessons. And it is up to us whether we learn from them and raise our consciousness, or whether we see them as injustice and go nowhere.

It is important to realize that what creates suffering is not the situations, but our mind under the influence of the ego. Different people with different consciousness perceive the same situation differently. Consciousness is transferred to the mind. As a person thinks and perceives, so has consciousness. To make the mind cause us less suffering, we should work on purifying our consciousness.

These are currently all my realizations that I have come to in the last two years and that I have been working on intensively.
Probably the most important thing is that I know when I have something that bothers me about someone else, I also have it and I know that I have to clean it up, especially in myself. It’s only when it stops bothering me and I don’t feel the need to deal with it that I know I’ve gotten rid of it and I’m a little cleaner again. It’s a long run and probably for the rest of my life, but I enjoy it. Applying the principle I have in my p**i more often and in all life situations not just in trading the FX markets is one of my aha moments.

It’s a strength when one knows how to become a better version of oneself.
